Come and enjoy and evening of fun roller skating, music, and games as we welcome our new students and welcome back all of our returning students. Refreshments will be provided. There is no charge for ATU students.

 

 January 19, 2009: Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday - No Classes! The IMSSO will be closed.

January 26, 2009: Chinese New Year Celebration (Date is Tentative)

Come for an evening of fun and food as the Chinese Student Association and the IMSSO celebrate Chinese New Year. The celebration will take place in the Young Ballroom Beginning at 7 p.m.

 

 

January 31 & February 1, 2009: Trip to Memphis, TN for NBA Basketball & Shopping!!

The IMSSO is planning a trip to Memphis, TN for a weekend of shopping at a huge mall, NBA Basketball, and a tour of Elvis Presley's mansion. Here is the trip itinerary:

The cost for the trip is $105 per person. This includes the bus rental fee, your hotel room (4 people per room), ticket to the basketball game, and your ticket to Graceland. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, January 22, 2008. Seating is limited so sign-up today in the IMSSO!

The IMSSO shopping shuttle is a service we provide to students who do not have transportation. Due to the large number of students who ride the shuttle on Wednesday afternoon, we are not able to keep a record of who gets on the shuttle and who gets off of the shuttle. The shuttle basically serves as a substitute for public transportation. Therefore, it is extremely important, that you make sure that you take responsibility for yourself and get on the shuttle at the posted times. If you are not there, the shuttle will not wait out of courtesy and respect to the other students who arrive on time and often have groceries that need to be refrigerated quickly. If you miss the last shuttle, it is your responsibility to get a ride back to campus. You can call A & A Taxi at 967-7433 or 967-8294 and you may also call A & A Transport at 968-1076 to pick you up and bring you back to campus or you can call a friend. Please write these numbers down so that you will have them if you need them. Please do not take a ride back to campus with a stranger. This is not safe. Additionally, due to safety concerns, we can not transport bicycles, large pieces of furniture or any other items that will block the walkway of the bus. If you need to purchase these large items, please find an alternate means of transportation.
